Artistic Brilliance Meets Commercial Design in Huafa Mall Zhongshan

Jiang and Associate Creative Design's Innovative Approach to Commercial Spaces

Located in the center of Shiqi District, Zhongshan, Huafa Mall is the first cultural and artistic commercial complex in the city, built by Zhuhai Huafa Group Co. Ltd. Covering a commercial volume of about 69,000 square meters, the mall is a testament to the innovative approach of Jiang and Associate Creative Design. The design team drew inspiration from the local mountains connecting with the sea, creating a high sense of rhythm and order in a simple and elegant space.

The unique properties of the design lie in its ability to blend with the natural ecological environment. The overall decorative design is simple and smooth, with the floor, ceilings, and curb plates designed to mimic rolling hills. This allows the overall space to be unobstructed, well-arranged, and varied. The dynamic lines and creative designs make for the fine art of mountains and waters.

Japanese artist Motoka Watanabe and American artist Mia Pearlman contributed to the project, creating the sculpture named 'In Search of Our Happiness' and the hanging artwork named 'A Phoenix Comes with Grace to Rest' respectively. These pieces explore the symbiotic relationship between the city, art, and living space, creating a more humanistic and artistic shopping environment.

The project was realized using main materials such as terrazzo, ceramic tile, and plasterboard. Energy-saving measures and the full use of recyclable materials make the whole space more green and healthy. The minimalist but varied shopping environment, the perfect blending of commercial space with expressive arts, and the innovative design based on cultural inheritance make this project a new urban commercial landmark of nature and humanity.

Huafa Mall Zhongshan opened in 2021 and has since become a culturally advanced business district full of sense of history. The project was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2022, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation. This design showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
